Showcasing a delightful B&B nestled in the heart of Southport.

Hotel Le Maitre dates back to 1826 and has been around for much of the recent history of Southport. After the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the early beginnings of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown that followed, they once again opened their doors to accommodation after a spell of closure. They wanted to showcase the revamped look and feel of their bedrooms. The only thing missing was a good website and their current build was out of touch with their target audience.

The Design.

The previous site had been left untouched for months, with a colour palette that was hard on the eye and difficult to follow. Content was misaligned and the pages did not work on smaller devices making it hard to read and digest information on the go.

The owners approached Blue Cow Digital with the aim of wanting a complete website overhaul that was brought up to modern standards and could be viewed on a variety of devices. At the same time, their branding had been updated with a newer logo and they wanted to showcase this on the new site.

Blue Cow Digital took into careful consideration the aesthetics of the updated bedrooms and chose the website colour palette off these tones.

When viewed on smaller devices such as mobile phones and tablets, the layout stacks and fits to the screen allowing users to readily get information on the different rooms and hotel policies.

The address, location, contact details and a form have all been implemented across the pages to assist the user in getting direction and making general enquiries.

The end result is a beautiful website with a warmer more inviting colour scheme, a crisp logo and a collection of pages that are packed with visuals of the bedrooms.

The menu has now been moved from the top of the page to the left and will follow the user as they scroll the pages for more information. Each bedroom page has a revamped gallery so users can browse for bedroom images.

Pages showcasing annual events in Southport and beyond as well as locations for golf and business trips are in place and an up to date page with all the breakfast and evening meals has been implemented.
